This is a more advanced explanation of how summons work on Clan Wars. We will be covering everything about summons, from a summon's stats to a summon's skill points, and everything in between. One of the most basic components of the summon's system, is that your character must possess the summoning technique. This is also known as Kuchiyose no Jutsu.

    Stats:

Your summon's rank will determine how many stats your summon gets. This is equal to a shinobi one rank lower than your summon's rank. These stats must be spent on Speed, Strength, Endurance and Chakra.

    B-rank: 300 Stats
    A-rank: 400 Stats
    S-rank: 500 Stats

    Summon Skill Points:

Your summon's rank will also determine how many Skill Points your summon gets. This is equal to a shinobi one rank lower than your summon's rank.
Your summon can receive the "no element +1 Skill Point" reward, though not the "no clan +1 Skill Point" reward.

    B-rank: 10 Skill Points.
    A-rank: 12 Skill Points.
    S-rank: 14 Skill Points.

    Ranking Up:

Your summon may be able to rank up just as you are able to rank up. Upon ranking up, your summon receives +2 Skill Points.  Here are the costs for ranking your summon up.

    B-rank to A-rank: 4000 Ryo.
    A-rank to S-rank: 5000 Ryo.

    Multiple Summon Contracts:

Your character can possess multiple summoning contracts, however you may only make one yourself. In order to obtain more than one summoning contract you have to sign someone else's summoning contract IC (In Character). You may only have a maximum of two summoning contracts.

    Summon Starting Ryo:

Your summon may start with Starting Ryo, depending on it's rank it will receive the following Starting Ryo in order for it to gain techniques to start with:

    B-rank: 2400 Ryo
    A-rank: 3000 Ryo
    S-rank: 5000 Ryo

    Summon Chakra Requirement:

Summoning a summon requires the use of Chakra. You will not pay Chakra for the Summoning technique itself, but instead pay a set amount of Chakra based on the summon's rank.

    B-rank: 30 Chakra.
    A-rank: 40 Chakra.
    S-rank: 50 Chakra.

In order for a summon to stay in play, it has to pay an upkeep in which the upkeep will be removed from it's own Chakra Pool. The upkeep is dependent on the summon's rank.

    B-rank: 15 Chakra every 2nd turn.
    A-rank: 20 Chakra every 2nd turn.
    S-rank: 25 Chakra every 2nd turn.

    Summons & Abilities:

Each Summon may have abilities, as well as Jutsus and stats. However, Summon abilities are handled a bit differently and are usually at different levels of skill. A summon's abilities are those small things that the user of the summon might want to take advantage of when building their summoning contract. For instance, if the user's contract was with Pigeons, then no doubt they would have the ability to fly. These things are often minor and comes free of charge. However, you may also take advantage of their abilities to give the summon an advantage in battle, however, you will have to pay extra for such things. It is also required that you explain just what the ability is, add usage limits and cool downs where appropriate and how much Chakra it may well cost.

*Minor Abilities gives a temporary boost of +50 stats to Speed, Endurance, Strength or power. Costs 500 Ryo.
*Medium Abilities gives a temporary boost of +100 stats to Speed, Endurance, Strength or power. Costs 1000 Ryo.
*Major Abilities gives a temporary boost of +150 stats to Speed, Endurance, Strength or power. Costs 1500 Ryo.

Staff reserve the right to put a cap on the number of abilities any one summon might have if its being abused.

We of course recognize that not all abilities will work the same or even require the same boost. As such, the staff gives all members the freedom to come up with abilities that varies in use. However, we also reserve the right to approve or deny these abilities as we see fit. Please use common sense here when coming up with abilities. There can also be a very fine line between abilities and what should be an actual Jutsu. Staff may also direct you to turn an ability into a ranked Jutsu if it is deemed to be so.
