Taijutsu Rules
Taijutsu: Taijutsu (体術, Literally meaning: Body Techniques) is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimisation of natural human abilities. It typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses, and are far quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu.
Taijutsu comes in various forms, ranging from basic kicks and punches. Many are devoted to unique styles and physical boosts. As a rule, basic kicks and punches will be based on the user strength, speed and endurance. So, if my strength is 150, then that’s the power of my punches and kicks. The same will be for the speed of said kicks and punches. This is unless there are circumstances at play which pushes your physical capabilities beyond the norm. Some of these basic kicks and so on may come in technique format.
Anything with offshoot techniques will fall under styles. This means your character will need to develop styles etc. This includes techniques using elements and the like to achieve whatever the user desires. Some offshoots may boost the user’s stats. Please follow the Taijutsu Boost Limits guide.

Taijutsu styles are those styles of close-combat that when utilised give the user special abilities to do greater than normal damage via ability or even boost. Gentle fist is one example of this. Whereby the user will employ a combination and Byakugan and Chakra based ability and target Tenketsu points. The Strong fist style is another example along with Silent fist and a few others.
Staff will do their best to ensure both canon and custom techniques follow these rules and guidelines. We recognise that not everything will be perfect and will do our best to correct any issues.
For each style created or bought, it will cost 2000 Ryo. Some styles may vary, this typically includes Chakra Enhanced Strength.
Strong Fist: Strong Fist (剛拳, Gōken) is Guy's and Lee's characteristic fighting style, the purpose of which is to cause external damage and break bones. It is the exact opposite of Gentle Fist which is used mainly by the Hyūga Clan. This style of fighting involves smashing your opponent and is generally used only by extremely physically powerful and dominating shinobi.
Silent Fist: The Silent Fist (無音の拳, Muon no Ken) is a fighting style unique to Shira. With it he is able to render his movements completely silent by cloaking himself in chakra. Neji Hyūga likens its usage to the feathers of an owl, as the chakra cloak makes Shira's movements virtually unpredictable.
Chakra Enhanced Strength: A technique that uses the refine chakra control and concentration required in medical ninjutsu to enhance one's strength to monstrous levels. This is done by storing chakra into one's hands or feet, and releasing it onto the target with pinpoint timing. With this strength, the user can decimate the ground or even kill opponents with a single strike. - C rank techniques gain +70 to one stat or +40 to two stats.
- B rank techniques gain +125 to one stat or +75 to two stats.
- A rank techniques gain +175 to one stat or +85 to two stats. Cost 5 life force per 2 turns if boost is to one stat only.
- S rank techniques gain +250 to one stat or +100 to two stats. Cost 10 life force per 2 turns if boost is to one stat.
- The MAX Stat boost to any one stat is 350 or 170 to two stats. These are treated as SS-rank techniques. Cost 15 Life force per two turns regardless.
- There is only a life force take-away if the Taijutsu technique gives you a boost in align with these numbers. Please also note that the above also requires a chakra cost. Refer to chakra cost rules.

Description: The technique is basically the user performing a jump kick into their opponent's face. Might Guy is known to throw a weapon, such as a kunai, at the enemy to distract them while he takes advantage of their blind spot in order to land the blow. It is obviously difficult to counter as it was able to bypass Jiraiya's defence.

Description: A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint. The technique can also be used in the form of a spinning-roundhouse kick through the air, either alone or in unison with another user for more efficiency.

Description: A simple, yet efficient attack that involves the user aiming at the opponent's leg and knocking them off their feet with a swift rotating kick.

Description: A technique used to appear behind an airborne opponent, mimicking how their body is positioned, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. While harmless on its own, it is used as a stepping stone to perform techniques such as the Front Lotus and the Lion Combo. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air.

Description: First, the user kicks the opponent into the air, then shadows behind them with the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Upon inflicting a blow, one takes advantage of said opponent's counterattack to spin around and rise again for further assaults, ending it with a kick to the stomach. Since the fall is increased in velocity with each blow, the damage when one is eventually struck to the ground is inconceivable.

Description: The Leaf Great Whirlwind is a technique that involves a series of kicking attacks. The user starts off by going for swift low kick, to a kick to the gut, to a high jump kick, before ending the attack with a heel drop. As the rotation speed picks up, the user gains buoyancy, which they use to shift into gradually higher attacks.

Description: Although it may appear to be a simple case of superhuman strength, this is actually an application of the precise chakra control that is used in medical ninjutsu. The user gathers a dense concentration of chakra in their fist that they release on contact with a target. The resulting damage is enough to seriously damage living targets and will likely also do some collateral damage to the surroundings. Ground that is affected by this jutsu fractures and sends small, flower petal-size particles into the air, hence the name. User can cause devastation in the area when using this technique.

Description: A taijutsu breathing method that Shira invented by gathering up large amounts of oxygen to increase his lung capacity fourfold, he is granted strength similar to the Eight Gates, even including similar physical changes to the user. It is unknown if it comes with the same repercussions as the Eight Gates.
Much like the Eight Gates, this technique has several stages or "activations" (活性, kassei):
The first activation (第一活性, daiichi kassei) causes Shira's eyes to go completely white and he starts to give off a yellow aura. +75 to speed and strength.
The second activation (第二活性, daini kassei) causes his body to expand slightly, his muscles becoming distinctly more prominent. +85 to speed and strength. At this stage its also costs 5 life force per two turns active.
The third activation (第三活性, daisan kassei) causes his skin to go red and appears roughly equivalent to the Gate of Life. +100 to speed and strength. At this stage its also costs 10 life force per two turns active. Stats do stack for each activation.

Description: This is the ultimate taijutsu technique created by the legendary taijutsu master Chen. It appears to be initiated by an upward spin kick at which point it quickly becomes a tornado. Forming into a dragon with long whiskers, it attacks the target aiming to swallow them, at which point they are cut by the razor sharp winds inside the attack. After initiating the attack, the user appears to remain shielded within the base of the tornado as the outward surface of the dragon seems to be solid enough for a person to impact and rebound off of, making the only way to enter the technique once it has been initiated is by being swallowed.
However, there is one distinct weakness to the technique. Since the Dragon God's true form is that of an ordinary tornado, its attack power is based on rotation. If one enters the attack's centre (Dragon's Eye) while rotating at high speed, such as Lee's One-Man Front Lotus, it can be dispersed without inflicting damage.
