    Asuka Uzumaki ZYBRopI

    Asuka Uzumaki 0OeODz3
    Name: Asuka Uzumaki
    Nickname: N/A
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
    Asuka Uzumaki GWSdYHs
    Height: 5'4"
    Weight: 136 lbs
    Appearance:

Asuka is not the tallest man, nor the most muscular. He stands at a miniscule 5'4", and doesn't even weigh 140 lbs soaking wet. However, that does not diminish his looks, nor his intimdatingly calm aura. His hair is long, nearly waist length, and a beautiful silvery shade that is unusual in a man so young. His eyes match, a similar and piercing shade of silver that seems to stare into your very soul. They are large, and framed by long silver lashes many a woman would probably kill to have.

His clothing choice is fairly traditional in style, typical to a resident of Hanagakure. A men's kimono, silver and black in color, and intricate in design, typical to those of high rank. A pattern of flowers adorn it, silver on the fine black silk of the main piece. Meant to suggest both genders, it is an elegant and flowing clothing piece. Paired with this are a pair of functional sandals, in similar colors to the kimono, and a cloth ribbon in silver that holds his hair out of his face. Over top of this he wears the robes of the Hanakage, though he greatly prefers to go without unless necessary.

Many have mistaken Asuka for a woman due to his long hair and delicate looks. He is thin, to the point of looking like a small woman, and with pale skin unmarred by any real scars. There are no visible wounds of any kinds, or any markings, except perhaps the symbol of his village, tattooed on his back. He does not wear the symbol of his clan, though he keeps a pendant with the Uzumaki symbol hidden safely in the large sleeves of his kimono. He does wear a Hanagakure headband, tied securely on and proudly displayed on his forehead. He rarely removes this, and many have forgotten what he looks like without it.

    Asuka Uzumaki EW0JlD2
    Land: Land of Flowers
    Character Rank: S (Hanakage)
    Clan: Uzumaki
    Element: N/A
    Asuka Uzumaki IVLimad
    Personality:

Asuka is a patient man, who knows the value of waiting. Rushing through things can often make things more difficult, so he is content to take it slow and let things come in their own time. He is the type of man to appreciate the simple things in life, and takes delight in nature walks and painting, amoung other hobbies. He is a big fan of sweets, especially simple pastries or fruit and cream. These are things he eats often, and rarely goes a day without. On the opposite side, he is not a fan of bitter or sour foods unless served with something sweet to cut the taste a little.

Asuka always has a strong desire to help and protect his people however he can. He would give everything up for the sake of his village, including his own life. He does not hold much loyalty to his clan, however, and holds a great deal of distaste in their practices. He does not worship the shinigami like most of them, and refuses to participate in any clan activities that his family might try to force upon him. He is not a religious person in the slightest, choosing only to believe in doing what is right to protect his people.

As a shinobi, Asuka can be rather curious, despite his strong convictions against wrongdoers. He is always wanting to explore, to create new jutsu, to learn. He is perfectly willing to develop new techniques, though he refuses to have any part in creating ones that are morally wrong or twisted in any way. Many jutsu of this variety remind him of his clan, and thus he refuses to go anywhere near them. He condemns techniques such as most genjutsu, Edo Tensei, and human puppets.

Amoung his favorite hobbies are tea ceremony and watching his villagers go about their lives. He enjoys seeing the people he protects so fiercely, proud in knowing that it is with his help that these people can lead peaceful lives. It gives him satisfaction knowing that he is helping people every single day, and that he can keep them safe. This is a large part of why he believes Hanagakure to be the most peaceful of the villages.

    Character History:

Asuka grew up hating his family and clan in general. The only person he genuinely loved in his family was his father, who was not an Uzumaki. He believed his clan to be misguided, cruel, and harsh in their ways. Asuka was a kind child who was genuinely horrified by the odd religion his clan followed. How could he believe in something like that, something so utterly ridiculous and dark? To a young Asuka, it was disgusting. He never hid his views on the matter growing up, something that lead to the clan coming to dislike if not outright hate him over.

His mother was a beautiful woman, but had few morals and followed the Uzumaki religion to the point of becoming a fanatic. She forced Asuka to train from the tender age of 5, when normal children would be spending time playing or learning to read. His studies in all forms were monitored heavily, harshly regulated to make him into an obedient tool for the clan. His chakra was vast even as a child, and the clan thought to use him as a weapon to furthur their own goals. This was met by resistance from Asuka, which only came to an end when they threatened to send his father away. He couldn't allow them to take away the one person he loved, so he complied with their wishes until he finally became genin at age 11. Once he became genin, he was allowed slightly more freedom since his sensei would take over his training. However, he still wasn't allowed much in the way of hobbies like a normal boy his age. He wasn't allowed to interact with non clan members outside of fellow shinobi, many of whom disliked him immensely.

Asuka never let this bother him, as his sensei and squadmates were civil to him at the very least. He was treated as an equal even if many hated him for his peaceful ideals and his unwillingness to kill if not necessary. Hanagakure was not the most morally sound of villages at the time, and many shinobi believed that killing an enemy was the only way to prevent them from crossing Hanagakure again. It was a violent time in his and his village's history, something Asuka made sure he would never forget.

At age 13 he formally became a chuunin, though he had long since surpassed his sqaudmates in terms of power. He was immediately thrown into more conflicts than he could mentally prepare for. This caused him to be in a rather delicate frame of mind, to the point where he was poisoned nearly to death on a mission and had to take several months off to recover. Because of this he was seen as weak. His fellows often refused to go on missions with him, leaving him to his own devices and complete dangerous tasks alone. He was often recruited to so stealth missions, since a squad was only a liability on those and they were best done solo. He was no ANBU, but he got the job done well enough most times.

He climbed the ranks by doing these missions, gradually regaining the trust of his fellow ninja. At age 16, he formally became a jounin, and people started to take notice of his real power. He was a powerhouse that couldn't be ignored any longer, and his clan tried to regain control of Asuka. He refused again and again, eventually causing the current clan leader to disown him. He was no longer a member of the clan, though he kept the name anyhow. He got a small apartment close to the academy, where he first learned of his love for watching people. On days when he didn't have missions, he'd watch the young academy students training to be shinobi. He was proud knowing so many people were willing to become shinobi, though this also saddened him. They would die early, violent deaths, and many wouldn't live to adulthood. He resolved to change the way the village thought, through any means he could.

It wasn't easy, but he did his best to convince other shinobi that violence wasn't the only solution. That quarrels could be solved through words. That you didn't need to kill your enemies to rid yourself at them. Change was slow to happen, but by the time he was 20 he had convinced many that peace was far better than war. Times of peace benefited them much better than losing a war they inevitably started with another village. Or so he had managed to convince them of.

When he was 22, the kage at the time was killed in an assassination, and the position passed to him after careful consideration. He was reluctant at first, but agreed from a desire to help his village furthur grow. He had wanted to change their ideals in a major way, and he had after years of trying. He continued to try and influence the village, gaining the love of his people in the smallest of ways. Through doing something as simple as comforting a crying child, or returning a bag somebody had stolen, people started to realize he was just a good person who wanted to help them. He was also feared, however, as anybody who holds great power must experience. In his first year of being kage there were nearly 50 attempts on his life by foreign and familiar shinobi alike. Each one was foiled due to his own strength and the ANBU guards he had assigned to him, but there were many close calls.

His second and current year as kage has been better, but not devoid of such things. The price on his head is hefty with the amount he has done, and attacks are not uncommon. They have decreased in number, However, much to the relief of both Asuka and his guards. In his second year serving as a leader to the village, Asuka has done his best to make life better for each of his citizens in any way he can. He founded an orphanage which he often visits, as a way to help children with no home and no hope.
