History:

Records of the Ryukin are non-existent. Records on paper have been long forgotten, burned or decayed centuries ago. The closest thing to the bloodline is old folk tales but even this has stopped being told decades ago. Story has it, Dragons used to roam the land, beings of power from a different world. Celestial bodies of power and intelligence the beings were first worshiped but their kind only wished to be heralds of equality. As time grew their benevolence and blessings were taken for granted and eventually abused. The dragons decided to disappear, abandoning the primordial of their powers to become 'Human'. They began to mix their bloods and eons later began to give birth to half breeds. Although fallen, they were still beings of power and their children grew to inherit some of these powers.

These children were called Ryukin, Dragon Kindred or Descendants of Dragons. Stronger than normal humans they began to band together, proclaiming themselves a new and superior breeds. An elitism overtook their kind and soon they became openly hostile to humans. Eventually there was war between mankind and those who were not purely mankind. The Ryukin though powerful, were few and they slowly died out, almost to the point of extinction.

Centuries later, the seeds are few but ever so often, those of the former Ryukin Clan would give birth to a child with abilities. The powers of the old dragons had dwindled greatly, forcing their remaining powers to mold their genes to be hidden and almost replicate mankind. Today the children look no different to that of humans, even holding potential to produce, mold and manipulate chakra. Then again, the Progenitors were from the same world as the pioneers of the very power.

Requirements: The clan is not a formal group but more of a bloodline. Those who hold the blood belong to the clan of the Ryukin no Shison. However only those whose DNA have developed powers are Ryukin. You cannot marry into the clan to get its secrets or powers. The power comes purely from the DNA and Body. Please ask the Creator of the Clan if you are interested in joining the clan.

Special Info:

Dragon Nose - Keen, would not be the correct way of describing such. Ryukin have an extremely accurate sense of smell. Though they cannot smell any better than your average Shinobi (Exceptions where the character has developed/trained smelling better), they can smell accurately on what they are smelling. For example, smelling a chicken pot pie, while most people will simply smell the chicken pot pie, Ryukin will be able sift and tell the mushrooms, the cream, the peppercorns, the onions, the breading that was specifically crusted in a wood stove oven. They have a wider spectrum of smells that they can pick up on and even smells that most people do not even smell.

Gem Iris: The Ryukin tend to have a strange eye color that are not normal to humans. Their eyes come in brilliant shades of Sapphire, amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Topaz and even Gold. There are eyes in olden folklore are said to be a mesmerizing thing to look at. [No affiliation with Genjutsu].

I smell you Kindred: Ryukin have the ability to sniff each other out. Perhaps a unique smell that only their nose spectrum pick up. One Ryukin will be able to smell out another Ryukin all which have a unique smell if you will.



Clan Special Characteristics:


Ryuton : Dragon Release - Those who are born with the powers of the ancestors are able to use Ryuton. A powerful Advanced Element of Fire and Wind which manifests as blue and white flames. It is said the temperatures of these flames reach extremes enough to cause the air around it to warp from the heat and that only the black flames of the Red Eye clan are hotter.
- Members start with Katon, Futon and Ryuton as their Elements.
- Ryuton Ninjutsu gain an additional 300 Power.

Dragon Hide - Though their skins may appear soft or their frames fragile, The Ryukin are naturally more resilient compared to normal human beings. All Members (regardless if they were born without their ancestors powers) have an additional +30 value in their durability.

Description: The primary benefits of the Ryukin Clan is the advanced element. Ryuton, or Dragon Fire Release is a mixture of the Katon and Futon Element. The bodily make up of the clan allows for a hotter and much more intense flame to be produced. The wind element works as a fueling and propelling agent. Mixed with the fire element produces almost like an incinerating fire. The intensity and heat of these flames cause the air around it to warp. The colors of these flames are shade between blue and white.
